  • The image portrays a warrior and his young wolfdog peering out towards the homeland. As told to me by a good friend who is Blackfoot, the people used to get the wolf pups from dens and raise them to help carry bags or pull things. As the young wolves matured, they were trained to go into battle with their masters to stir up the enemy then the warriors would attack.

The tails of two mature eagles and dozens of ermine skins form the warrior's war bonnet. Many tales could be told about each feather earned. The regalia of the warrior are well earned from previous battles and events. The bird symbol associates his medicine and ability to communicate with swift birds. The full tail of the golden eagle suggests that he is a leader of stature.
