Aleksander Titovets was born in Siberia, educated in St. Petersburg, Russia, and now resides and paints in Texas and New Mexico. Being in the USA for a quarter of a century, his art has inspired, mesmerized, and uplifted the spirits of art lovers everywhere.

His body of work has earned him many awards and honors such as his portrait of the First Lady Laura Bush, which opened a new gallery within the Smithsonian Museum in Washington, D.C, entitled "First Ladies’ Gallery" in the National Portrait gallery. Aleksander's painting on the Biblical theme of Judith with the head of Holophernous earned him the Crystal Eagle, the highest honor from the "Artists of America" invitational exhibition in Denver, Colorado. As a guest of "Great American Artists" in Cincinnati, Ohio, his works became part of the Proctor and Gamble as well as Cincinnati Bell collections. His art is also in numerous private and corporate collections including the King of Spain's private museum, Sophia Loren's collection, Sam Walton family, Smuckers Corporation. Many others proudly own one or more of Aleksander's pieces.

Since 2009, Aleksander has  been a part of "Texas Masters", an invitational exhibition, organized by Insight Gallery in Fredericksburg, Texas. Aleksander's works were also part of the National Academy of Design in New York and Altermann Galleries in Santa Fe.

Through national exhibitions and competitions, such as “Oil Painters of America”, his works have shown all over the country and with the "Art in U.S Embassies" program have been seen throughout the world. Two of Aleksander's paintings are on display now in the U.S Embassy in the capitol of Brunei.

Regardless of the great successes and achievements, Aleksander keeps pushing himself to new heights within the art world. In "American Art Collectors" February 2017 issue you can see his recent commissioned piece within the sleek contemporary environment, redefining the concept of modern.

Multiple publications have shown his work, such as "Best of Landscapes" catalog in Santa Barbara, California, and a book published by North Light Books titled "Best of the Portrait Paintings".  Another book called "Sketch Confidential: Secrets of 40 Master Artists" discusses his unique techniques, which combine Russian fundamental training and study of the old masters as well as his own life experiences, that help create his art. "International Artists" magazine called him "America's leading impressionistic painter" while "Art of the West" magazine prized his exceptional color harmony among the top 10 artists in the article "Color Magicians."

In 2010, Aleksander was inducted into the Artist Hall of Fame by the International Museum of Art for his "invaluable impact on the visual art scene of the Southwest border region". His retrospective exhibition "A. Titovets: Past and Present" was organized by the El Paso Museum of Art, whose collections include masterpieces by Van Dyck and Bottichelli.
